Hi there! My name is Jose Perez and I’m a Software Engineer and Data Analyst based in Chicago. I love building things that live on the web—from beautiful, accessible user interfaces to data-driven dashboards.

I’ve worked with e-commerce and marketing agencies to deliver scalable, responsive, and performance-focused websites and tools. My goal is always to merge functionality with design while solving real-world problems through clean code.

Accomplishments

Developed front-end code for a diverse range of highly visible marketing and eCommerce websites, utilized HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create high-fidelity, responsive layouts. Collaborated with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end code and cross-browser compatibility. Additionally, worked closely with Technical Managers to estimate work assignments, maintain high-quality deliverables, and provide status updates, issue resolution, and escalations. Resolved any problems that arose during the project and escalated any issues that could not be resolved.

Accomplishments

Contributed to a number of features and resolved numerous bugs. Wrote and rewrote various tests using Jest. Major project was the Store's page , which I collaborated on with Designers, QA, and other engineering team members. This feature allows users to view all stores in List View and navigate through different regions to display a new set of stores. They can also switch to Map View. It was a rewarding experience to bring this feature to life.
